The Templeton Foundation

I was somewhat surprised recently to hear of John D.Barrow’s award from the Templeton Foundation, especially considering the size of the award. I knew very little about the Foundation at the time so I was interested now to find this article by John Horgan, describing his own doubts about having accepted a fellowship from the organization.

Apparently Horgan, like Dawkins, refused to go along with the general tone of the meetings. Good for them, but evidently a lot of others didn’t who probably ought to have done.
