Killing off buzzards to protect pheasants?

DEFRA is conidering destroying buzzards' nests and imprisoning the adult birds to protect commecially reared pheasants. So one of our most beautiful birds of prey, which has recently recovered from near-extinction in Britain, is to be sacrificed so that bankers and other wealthy people should have the pleasure of blasting other specially bred birds out of the sky. This is definuitely and idea that should be strongly resisted.
