Book review: The Trauma Myth, by Susan A. Clancy
My review of Susan Clancy's The Trauma Myth is now on line. Clancy's research indicates that child sexual abuse is usually not traumatic at the time it occurs, but its effects on individuals is neverthless profound when they come to realise later the significance of what happened. This book is particularly timely in view of the current revelations concerning the extent of abuse by Catholic priests in many countries.
