Religion as narrative

In today's "Thought for the Day" Dr Alan Billings said that Christianity is not for most of its adherents a bundle of beliefs but is a story. I've thought this myself for some time -- see my piece The Origin of Religion. Good to have it confirmed from the horse's mouth, as it were.

With regards religion, I was expecting you to comment on the return of the 12th century cure for mental illness (aka demonic possession):
