Beyond Belief (BBC Radio 4)

I sometimes listen to Beyond Belief, a BBC religious programme., though I have to say that the title often seems to be all too appropriate. The programme on 17 February included a contribution from a delightful 90-year-old lady called Elizabeth Chesworth, who told us how, some 16 years earlier, she woke up in the middle of the night and discovered she no longer believed in God. I found some of the comments on this by the panel to be beside the point and one - from a lady who had some function in the Church of England - was insufferably patronizing.
